Slovenia XC Clinics

Two Focused Skills Intensives in the Gorenjska Region · August 10-14, 2026

2 Separate clinics

I’m running two separate, two-day clinics here in August — each one built around a specific leap in your flying. They are sharp, focused skills intensives. Both are in english.

August 10 & 11, I will be teaching a beginner-intermediate clinic. Learn to thermal and fly XC. Glider handling, thermaling and XC skills.

Aug 13 & 14 is the intermediate-advanced clinic. Route choices, team flying and how to fly fast, efficient and safe.

Pick the clinic that fits. Come ready to work. Leave a different pilot.

By the end, you will be a safer, more confident, more capable pilot — and you’ll have a clear road map for the next 10, 50, and 200 flight hours of your career.

ABOUT The Flying

We will base in the Gorenjska region of northern Slovenia — alpine flying country with reliable thermals, dramatic terrain, and routes that go in multiple directions. Challenging enough to grow any pilot and accessible enough to be flown safely with good guidance. The region has a deep free-flight culture, well-established launches and landing zones, and the kind of consistent summer conditions that make real progression possible in a short window.

Slovenia is a small country with big flying. If conditions in Gorenjska aren’t working on a given day, world-class sites like Tolmin and the Soca Valley are within driving range — so we chase the best air available and never waste a flyable day.

In Collaboration with KJP Turbulenca

These clinics are run in collaboration with — and thanks to the good graces of — KJP Turbulenca, the local paragliding club. serious XC and hike-and-fly pilots who know this terrain intimately and fly it year-round. Their local knowledge, their launches, and their hospitality are a huge part of what makes this experience special. You won’t be flying as outsiders dropped into unfamiliar country — you’ll be flying with the blessing and guidance of the people who know these mountains best.

Your GUIDE

Ari Delashmutt

Founder

Ari has been a professional action sports athlete his entire adult life. More than 12 years of paragliding, over 3,000 flight hours across 16 countries on 5 continents. World records in highlining. He chased acrobatics early on, then got hooked on cross-country after his first 115km flight — acro harness, no flight instrument, no food or water, no idea what he was doing. He’s been chasing XC and competition flying ever since.

But Ari isn’t just a pilot. He’s a men’s coach and group facilitator who has spent years doing deep personal development work — studying Nonviolent Communication and conscious leadership. He brings all of this to the mountain. The mindset work, the emotional intelligence, the ability to create a space where men are welcome to open up, connect, and grow — that’s what separates this from every other clinic you’ve been to. Ari teaches the mental game that is imperative for pilots to stay safe and keep progressing in their careers. This is instruction for the whole pilot, not just the technical side.
